Overview
Checking Web Content for Accessibility and Compliancy
A key step deploying materials for the web is making sure that web sites are accessible and compliant by performing manual validation checking. There are a series of tools that can help with this step. Out of the vast number of tools that can help with doing web accessibility checking, there are four that we use and recommend here at California State University, Northridge. The tools that will be covered in this documentation are as follows:

This documentation will give a brief overview of each tool, what each tool does, and provide a quick step-by-step on how to use each tool (except for the AccMonitor Tool). The AccMonitor tool is an application used by each local ATI Coordinator to monitor each department/college web pages to make sure that compliant. Most web developers won't use AccMonitor, but understanding what it does is important so that users who are creating web pages understand the key concepts of creating an accessible web site.
